Cruising With Ragweed is taking it to the next level this year with the unveiling of its new name, the Big Music Cruise!
Formerly known as Cruising With Ragweed, the Big Music Cruise is the same “BIG” group that for the past few years has embarked together on a fun-filled, adventurous week amongst top musicians and friends both old and new.

To the veteran cruisers and many folks who make the cruise an annual tradition, Cross Canadian Ragweed has humbly expressed that this group adventure is, and always has been, centered on the experience of ALL of the musicians and the participants, not solely "Cruising with Ragweed." Thus the name change reflects a lineup of musicians which has continually grown over the past few years, and is meant to embrace the totality of musicianship aboard and all of those participating!
This year, the Turf and Surf adventure has BIG plans in store with new experiences being added to kickoff the cruise week, too! Taking it to the next level with MORE artists and an intimate and jam packed live music schedule, the Big Music Cruise will this year feature a sendoff party in the departing port of Galveston! The Bon Voyage concert party will take place at a historic Galveston Hotel venue located in the heart of the celebrated downtown Strand area, all before the cruisers even head out to sea!
Whether you’re a cruiser who travels cross country to board the Big Music Cruise, or if the charming port is “in your backyard,” the seaside resort of Galveston has so much to offer and experience, including Texas beachside attractions, music venues, historic restaurants, classic bars, resort shopping, fishing, museums, galleries, and much more.
Upon departure, the cruise will of course continue to provide one-of-a-kind intimate and
personal performances in the luxury lounge settings aboard the world’s most popular cruise line, and of course outdoors to take in the tropical breezes of the outdoor deck. The week of performances and shows has annually fostered an amazing camaraderie, a vibe that participants and music aficionados simply can't experience anywhere else, as like minded folks travel from across the country and around the globe to be part of this sea-bound spectacle!
